ABUSE
Abuse is one of the most painful things we can ever inflict on another human being. These days you hear a lot about people putting the blame on others for the abuse they give his or her loved one. Abuse should not be a way or a fact of anyone's life. We can try to justify this kind of behavior, but abuse should not be accepted under any condition. Bringing this kind of turmoil into someone's heart can not be justified when we should be able to walk away too cool off When some people get to the breaking point, what stops them from leaving in order to become rational? We get so wrapped up in our feelings that we can't see the harm we are doing to others. People grow more aggressive as time goes on to the point that everyone else outside the relationship is abused as well. Why can't we seek help before the abuse even starts? We don't become abusive over night; so this can't be a picture of our true selves. No one would ever date an abusive person to start with, yet some end up in an abusive relationship and are left wondering where their true love went?
Those who are abusive and those who are abused need to be strong and wise enough to seek help. We need to give the loved ones in our lives the respect and love that once was there and they deserve. Abuse is not just our problem… it’s everyone’s. It’s a shame that some people seek out and cause such destruction to others when there is no easy way for anyone to deal with abuse, nor is there any easy way to stop it. Maybe with the help of words from a loved one's heart, we can see that the real shame is to let the abuse continue.
Continued abuse damages a person's heart to the point where they will never be the same again; where one will fear abuse throughout their lives! We can only hope this will not overtake their soul and pass the abuse on to another. There is so much abuse in this world, and it can be seen all around us, it lashes out at hearts with a fist rather than an open hand that would reach out and gently touch it. We often abuse one another through the words that we say. If you love me you would... This is a statement common in many relationships today. It's a shame that we abuse our loved ones with this demanding statement. One would think that if we truly loved the heart of someone, we wouldn't be saying this at all.
Everyone needs to feel wanted as well as accepted for who they are. Of all the things in our lives that we abuse, why are our loved ones the first to feel the abuse? Whether it's through lies, deceit, or words and at times by fist this form of abuse is so common in relationships today. No one deserves to be in an abusive relationship, but will abuse ever be a thing of the past? One can only hope so. Maybe if we look to one another as a gift, instead of a piece of property; we would be more willing to try and understand each other a little better and stop looking at a loved as some sort of threat to our ego.
